Geometric animal art SLJ 2021 - 2022. Activity #9

 Hello everyone,

Today I did a geometric art of a turtle. It is quite difficult to keep my hand steady. I had to focus really hard.

I hope you like it.

This is me swimming with the turtle in Redang Island, Malaysia.

Here is the video of the turtles.

Wow! What a fabulous geometric drawing of a turtle! As you say, I can imagine that you had to be really patient and control your hand position to position all those triangles.

Turtles, and particularly sea turtles, are one of my favourite marine animals. Have you seen turtles in real life or just in pictures or illustrations? I am always fascinated to watch them swim because of their grace (despite the huge shell they carry).

    Keep up your wonderful work!

Look forward to hearing from you.

    1. Hello Naomi,

Thank you for your comments. Yes i have seen a real life turtle before when my family and I went for a holiday in Redang Island, Malaysia. I got to swim in the ocean with them.

  2. Kia ora Mark,

This is awesome geometric animal art! Well done working through the challenges you had, it looks like a tricky activity to do!

Are turtles your favourite animal? I think they’re very interesting and have beautiful patterns on them!

Do you have any tips for other bloggers who are wanting to create geometric animal art? I know a steady hand helps already!

    Keep up the awesome mahi.

    Ngā mihi,
    Lauren

Thanks for sharing your artwork and also the photos and video of you swimming with turtles! What an amazing experience to have. Is this why you chose a turtle as your animal for this task?
