Today I painted 2 rocks. I haven't decided what to write on it because I still have time till Christmas to see where I want to put it! Just writing Merry Christmas is so boring. I am thinking hard.

Today I did the backyard obstacle course. It was fun. It was challenging. I have made some mistake in the course but I managed to complete it in 1 minute and 10 seconds.

Today I made a kite from branches and garbage bag. I fixed a tail and decorated the kite with marker pens. Then my brother John and I brought the kite to the park and tried to make it fly. My kite can fly! I was so happy when that happened.

1. How I feel about the Extinction Safari
I feel sad because some animals are gone forever
2. What was the cause for extinction?
Extinction was usually caused by people hunting for food and for fun.
3. What have I learnt from past extinction?
I have learnt that extinction was often caused by people.
4. How will extinction of species affect me in NZ?
I will only learn about these animals in books never see them in real life.
I think the Stella's sea cow was my best picture because i stepped back and got the whole animal in my picture with the ice.

To do the ice art, first I picked small flowers from the garden, placed them in a small plastic tub and filled the tub with water. Then I put the tub in the freezer overnight. That was yesterday. Today I popped it out and it looked like this.

I couldn't find any cicada skin so I drew one instead.
I learned to draw a cicada following a youtube video from Art For Kids Hub.
First I drew the cicada with pencil and then outline with marker. Then I painted the cicada. I wonder how a cicada taste like but I am not wanting to try.

Today my Dad helped me build a boat from recycled materials. We used a shampoo bottle, rubber bands and ice-cream sticks. It was so fun to do. We tested it in the sink. Here is the video.
